Positive Youth Connections Challenge

The Clarkston Coalition for Youth’s mission is to increase positive youth development through community partnerships, providing every youth with the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. In effort to engage our community and showcase of all the positive youth connections currently happening in our community, the Coalition is hosting the “Positive Youth Connections Challenge”.

Our executive board will select one submission each quarter to be featured on this website and in the Clarkston News. The winning submission author and the person showcased will receive a personalized certificate and an Each One Reach One Community mug.

Submission Deadlines:

Second Quarter: Any experience occurring April - June 2008 should be submitted by July 31. The submissions will be reviewed August 13 with the winning submission announced on August 14th and published in the Clarkston News shortly thereafter.

Third Quarter: Any experience occurring July – Sept. 2008 should be submitted by October 31. The submissions will be reviewed Nov. 12 with the winning submission announced on Nov. 13th and published in the Clarkston News shortly thereafter.

Fourth Quarter: Any experience occurring Oct. – Dec. 2008 should be submitted by Jan. 31st 2009. The submissions will be reviewed at the January board meeting with the winning submission announced and published in the Clarkston News shortly thereafter.
